Vows for the Second Wedding

Sometimes things do not work out whenever we get married the first time. Whether it’s because we were too young to make the right choice or we found that we did not have anything in common with that person, things do not always work out for the best. However, the good news is that you can have a second chance at happiness whenever you have a second wedding. The only problem that people have here is that they think that their vows for the second wedding are not going to be as meaningful. Of course, this does not have to be the case. Your second wedding vows can be just as meaningful if not more meaningful than the other wedding vows that you took.

First of all, you have to remember that you do not have to bring up the fact that you have had another marriage in your second wedding vows. A lot of people think that they have to, in some way, address their first marriage in their second wedding vows, but you do not have to. You could say:

“I offer myself to you in full. I promise to be there for you in sickness and in health, and in the good times and the bad. I will always cherish you and respect you with all my heart. Starting a life with you is like a dream come true. May our marriage be a gift to the world, as your love is a gift for me.”

As you can see, in this case, you do not have to bring up your other marriage at all. However, if you do want to bring up your first marriage, then you have to watch how you word things. Remember, this is a special day for you and your soon to be new wife. So bringing up an ex-wife may not go over very good. There are still ways that you can go about bring it up without having to worry about hitting any bad nerves. For example, you could say:

“God has blessed us with a second chance for happiness. I am here today to offer you my full love and my hope that we can now share a future together. I will promise to bring you happiness and joy and to keep your spirits high. We were meant to be, and our love for each other is endless and eternal.”

As you can clearly see, there are many different ways that you can spin these vows for the second wedding. These do not have to be sad and do not have to bring up the hard times you once had. If they are brought up in the vows, it should just be in a way to let people know that you look forward to spending the rest of your life with this new person. You always want the person that you are marrying to know that you plan to spend the rest of your life with them and that you look forward to starting your new life’s journey with them. Everyone wants to feel special, and everyone wants their wedding day to be special, thus, meaningful marriage vows must be said on your wedding day.
