The bride and groom often choose to give the members of their wedding party an engraved keepsake. The engraving serves as a reminder of when and where the gift was received. In place of an engraved keepsake, a bride and groom might want to offer their wedding attendants a gift with a picture.
Today's technology allows a picture to be placed on just about any item. Any item with some sort of flat surface can be used as a keepsake with a picture. An earlier section mentioned using small pillows as favors. Larger, silken pillows with a picture could be used as keepsakes.
If the bride and groom decide to give out keepsakes with a picture, they need to have available a lovely picture of the two of them together. A bride would no doubt want such a picture to show her with a well-kept hair cut, and with at least some make-up. A picture taken on a camping trip would not be suitable.
The bride and groom might need to pose for a wedding photo. They could use that as a way to test their satisfaction with the skills of a photographer. If a picture taker realized that he could gain an additional assignment by snapping a great wedding picture, the bride and groom would have a better chance of getting a great photograph.
Today, the process of posing for a picture and then selecting from among several poses requires much less time than in the past. Thanks to digital photography, a couple can view the photographer's work the same day that they pose for the picture. They can then select the pose that they want to put on a keepsake.
The couple should already have a keepsake item in mind, when they pose for the picture. In that way, they can expedite the process by which their chosen photo will be put on each keepsake. If they delay their selection, the creation of the finished keepsakes will likewise be delayed.
When a couple wants to personalize keepsakes or put a photo on keepsakes, then need to be sure that they will not change their minds before the wedding date. Vacillation on the part of the bride and groom can lead to the need for substitute keepsakes. That can add to the costs of the wedding.
Personalized keepsakes are given to those who mean the most to the bride and groom-those who have set aside time for attending the wedding rehearsal.
