Wedding Venue

The wedding venue is probably one of the most important decisions that need to be taken when wedding planning. The wedding venue will determine your theme and the type of decorations that you will use.

The following are some tips for picking the right venue for your wedding.

1. Take time to do some research and inquiry. You can use our local vendors section to locate services and you can also go for phone inquiries. It is always a good idea to do thorough research before taking the final decision. As a result of which you will have an idea by comparing the different venues in terms of their prices, availability and features etc. Jot down the information that you gather and fix an appointment with the owners or managers of the venues of the ones you liked.

Visiting the venue together with your fiancé is fun but make sure you plan it ahead of time. Be observant and look into every details of the place. The best thing to do is to try to imagine both of you in the venue and see if the wedding would fit perfectly. Trust your instincts.

2. Consider the time of the wedding. It is also very important because not all venues are available anytime. You must visit the wedding venue at the exact time when the wedding is going to be held so that you will have an idea of how the wedding would look like.

For example, you are planning to have a themed wedding such as a garden wedding at night, it is better if you choose a smaller venue rather than going for an open field because smaller venues are easier to accessorize like putting up lamps and tents.

3. Consider the space. The number of guest should fit perfectly to the venue. It is very important that you plan the number of guest before choosing the size of the venue.

4. Pay attention to the do’s and don’ts of the wedding venue. Not all wedding venues allow everything. Some do not allow too much of noise and there are also some who do not allow specific types of decorations.

By knowing the restrictions, you can easily decide whether you will choose a particular venue or just look for another one. Or if you really want the venue, you can easily go for it. Make sure that the wedding plan will adhere to the policies of the wedding venue. It always pays off to ask for the restrictions rather than learning about it during the last minute of your preparations.

5. Check if there are enough parking spaces for the guests

. The parking area should be large enough to accommodate the guest’s vehicles. It is a hassle for visitors if they would have to park in an area farther from the venue especially if they arrived very well dressed for the occasion.
