Wedding Pictures and Wedding Photos

A bride and groom should expect to see their photographer raising his or her camera in many different locations throughout the ceremony and reception. Only by moving about constantly can a photographer gather a good collection of wedding pictures. Such a collection should contain pictures of every aspect of the wedding and reception.

While a good wedding favor can instantly aid the recall of one bride’s special day, a wedding picture can often be as desired as a favor. Wedding guests could, for example, want to purchase from the photographer a picture taken at the reception, if such a picture contained an image of those same guests. In that way, the wedding pictures could complement the wedding favors.

A bride and groom soon appreciate the importance of the wedding pictures during the days that follow their return from the honeymoon. The bride and groom typically want to extend their thanks to those who allowed all aspects of the wedding and reception to run smoothly. The wedding pictures can help a couple to display their gratitude.

Most people like to see themselves in a photo. The wedding guests too like to see pictures that were made possible by the guests’ presence at the ceremony and reception. A good photographer appreciates that fact. A good photographer takes many pictures, creating a picture collection that contains pictures of the guests, as well as pictures of the wedding party.

It is also possible for wedding pictures to play a part in the discovery of a criminal. That is what happened after one California wedding, a wedding that took place during the 1980s. At the end of the reception, one man discovered that the money he had had in his suit pocket was missing.

By looking at all the pictures taken by the wedding photographer, the victim and his family discovered that the criminal had been caught while in the act of stealing. His criminal act could be seen in the background of one of the snapped pictures. The victim could approach the “criminal” and thus settle the matter out of court.

For most couples, talk about wedding pictures refers to all the pictures taken during the ceremony and reception. In some traditions, however, a couple hopes to have certain pictures at the wedding ceremony. In some traditions, a picture of the unwed future bride and a separate picture of a bachelor should be on display at the wedding ceremony.
