Wedding Customs - English to French

A unique wedding ceremony for the English people starts with the bride walking on a path while young girls spread rose and flower petals along the path the bride is on. This is symbolic in that it represents a happy “life journey”. The bride also carries a horseshoe decorated with ribbons for good luck.
The English traditional wedding cake is made of a number of ingredients – ground nuts, cherries, special candies and marzipan.
Filipino
The Filipino wedding often involves dancing, and many guests at a large festive celebration, The bride and groom will dance with money or gifts, or pin the money onto their clothing at the reception.
A significant part of the Filipino wedding is releases. Often, in a show of love of love for each other indefinitely, the bride and groom will release a pair of doves from a bell made of flowers.
French
Many people think of the white wedding dress when thinking of French wedding, which signified joy and purity. However, there is a lot more involved with the French wedding custom. During the medieval era, the dresses were often many different colors, each color signifying styles. Dresses were ornamented with elegant beads, stitching and embroidery.

The Coupe de marriage is a traditional two handed cup that the newlyweds toast with at the reception. Another traditional French reception game involves the guests bringing wedding cakes and stacking them in a pile. In a symbolism of prosperity, the goal was for the bride and groom is to kiss over the pile of cakes without knocking them over.

Long after the reception is over, friends and guests of the wedding party make noises with utensils – pans, dishes and more. The goal is for the bride to release the groom to invite the friends in for wine or refreshments.
