Weddings can be held anyhow, any time and anywhere. So outside weddings are great ideas for something unique in a wedding. In fact, these type of weddings are considered to be rather beautiful and romantic!
When you plan your outdoor wedding ideas, you first have to consider what the weather will be at the time of the wedding. If it is going to be hot, keep the guests cool with ice-cold bottles of water. A great outdoor wedding idea would be to print the wedding program on a fan that will serve both as a fan, and an invitation. Renting large electric fans, a generator and a tent all serve its purpose to cool the heat. However, if it is to be a cold and damp day, then remind your guests to wear extra clothing for protection from the cold. If possible, you could have lap blankets ready and even portable heaters.
Always have a backup plan ready when you hold an outdoor wedding, in case it rains. The best idea would be to have an indoor location ready in case of rains. This is why many people choose to have outdoor weddings and the reception indoors so that everything can be quickly shifted inside. Remember that an outdoor wedding can be rather windy. So don’t wear light fabrics like chiffons and silks; and have your hair set to be ready for the wind.
An outdoor wedding in a beach may lower your voices, wherein it may not be heard over the roaring waves. So have a sound system ready for such situations with clip mikes for you, the bride and the officiator. One of the advantages of outdoor weddings is that the surroundings provide enough decorations for the wedding. There is not much need for decorations. However, do visit the spot a few days before the wedding to make sure that everything is spic and span.
When planning the menu, keep the atmospheric conditions in mind when selecting the dishes. There is no need of keeping mayonnaise salads or cold dishes for a hot, outdoor wedding! Instead of alcohol which may dehydrate the guests, different types of teas, punches and lemonades are preferable for a hot wedding. Even a classic mint julep or mojito can refresh and cool guests. And don’t forget the flies! Use citronella wedding candles or a bug zapper to get rid of pests.
